    Default cold starting problem ???

as above , i turn the key the car fires into life with a ploom of smoke and feels like it is running on 3 cylinders for about a min then it's fine,

    no faults recorded,

    no spanner light coming on,

it just runs like a bag of spanners for no more that 60 seconds then it's all good.....

and it only does this from a propper cold start not once it's been run for a while then left a few hrs but only from an over night park up !!!!

    any ideas ??

Sounds like failing glow plugs. Also, does your temp gauge move up to 86 degrees when driving?

had new glow plugs not so long ago and yes temp gauge moves up to correct temp after 5 mins or so of running, i am sure i have read somewhere about the possibility of an injector wiring fault like the 150 has but

Also, cycle the glow plugs a couple of times (ignition on for 5 seconds, off, on for 5 secs, off, on for 5 secs, start engine).

If it starts ok this way, be best replacing the glow plugs
