    Default Tech 2 help please

    Has anyone got a Tech 2 that could reprogramme my car as i have been told the system could be corrupt

    the auto electrician i spoke to said it might need a reprogramme because when i jump started the car it could have put a fault into the system

    Have you checked to see if any faults are on it ?( op com or pedal test or fault code reader)

    A jump start won't corrupt your system fella it might spike a ecu but if the car starts and drives as normal then can't see a need to reprogram it
    VXR IS FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR THRILLS !

    Lets start at the beginning what issues are you CURRENTLY having with the car so make you think its corrupt? (although this very highly unlikely)

    if i start the car and only drive a shop trip then park it up and leave it it needs jump starting

    the fan kicks straight in on start up,the glow lights take around a min to go out it used to be around 5 seconds the car at stand still the engine jumps all over (could be the inlet manifold) and if i try and go over 4k revs it starts juddering

    fault code p0115 had 2 sensors changed and still the same one garage said the car was saying the temp was -65

    if it needs jump starting every time you either have a dead battery or dead alternator normally (or a blown fuse in the charging circuit?)

    For the fan to kick in start at startup it will do this if it cant sense what the engine temperature is, it does it as a saftey precaution to cool it rather than not to cool it, which also explain why the glow plugs are on soon long (probably not a minute though). The juddering could be because its running the engine mapping and fuel for a car thats very very could and could be overfuelling it... So it looks like you need to find out why the engine temp is reading soo low as one thing and if the battery or alternator is goosed as the 2nd thing..
