Just a shot in the dark here but has anyone used this to make an old flip key work on another car?

Not me, read a lot about the chip in the fob being replaced to virginise it for reuse with a new blade.

Hope you get something useful from your "experiments" fella. The last time I looked at the cost of jumping into the "unknown" and buying a chip (which I had been told would have needed to be partially programmed just so that Vx tools would see it as a Genuine Vx New Fob), I decided that unless it was going to be a commercial venture opportunity for me, it was a non-starter and I should just go ahead and buy a ready virginised fob.

But that all comes down to your cost, your time, and your patience. If you have plenty of all of those, then please keep us posted on your results fella

    Cheers

    Woody

Well I wasn't suggesting you were tight fella. I was just thinking that there are so many sellers of "virginised key fobs" that by the time you have bought a used flip key, a new replacement case, bought fitted and reprogrammed a new chip etc. AND not even allowing for Failures and wasted expense.

I can't see the potential savings being meaningful (unless you do it in BULK).

    IMO Anyway
