Tow bar fitment.. Preface any different?

Just about to go and pick up a tow bar for my car, it's a Witter one. Just noticed the seller has stated it's for 05-09

There's no difference is there?! It's been removed from an 08 hatch cdti.

No difference at all mate, I had mine on my preface car before buying a facelift

Even the wiring? This has twin electrics but I'm certainly not towing a caravan! Will be garden waste trailer, car trailer at the most!

Yep, they are both wired the same way. Is it genuine vx electrics?

It came with a whole host of electrics, i'll have to sort through them.

If not, IIRC the GM loom is ~£40ish? I have my masterfit £40 voucher I could use.

Does it have a big multiplug to plug in and the trailer module?

The genuine electrics are brilliant IMO as it fully integrates with the car showing bulb failures etc.

So this is what I have.

Needless to say i'm now trying to find out the price of GM electrics kit - Ebay shows around £51 from vauxhall parts, so i'm hoping I can put my voucher towards it to save me having to hack up my wiring, I hate splicing into looms!
