    Is this an obd2 connector.?

    If so will the obd2 bluetooth connectors on ebay work ok with this and my car using the android torque app.

    I have bought an extension lead. That connects to the diagnostic port then to the Bluetooth scanner.

    cheers, is this necessary, or will the adapter i have linked to still plug into the connector on my car ?

    It should just plug straight in. Mine does. But the lead can be usefull if you want to see the relivent LED lights that my scantool has.

    You might have trouble plugging it in and out being so short.
