    Default VXR/Snowflake Wheel Advice

Just wondering if some of the wheel experts on here could help clear up a couple of questions to help me avoid dropping an expensive bo**ock.

18" Snowflake alloys. Are these all the same across all models, i.e. Vectra, Astra, Zafira and are interchangeable without any issues?

VXR alloys. Do you get genuine 18" and 19" versions? Again, irrespective if you picked up a set of either size from an Astra etc, will these go straight onto a Vectra without issue, or is there any need for spigot rings etc?

    Thanks for any advice.

Cheers Marc. Like you say, I believe the 18" Snowflakes were standard fit on the VXRs and anything other than that was an upgrade. I'm just wary of spending several hundred quid on a set of wheels, only to offer them up to the car and they don't fit for some stupid reason!

Cheers David, that pretty much ties in with what I thought.

The one thing that seems to cause confusion are the 18" VXRs. I'm sure that I've noticed apparently "genuine" ones for sale in the past. They usually are touted as being from Astras, but like you say, I was always under the impression that genuine 18" VXRs didn't exist.

The Meriva came with 17" Snowflake alloy wheels from the factory and are the wrong fitment for the Vec C

The astra, zafira and Vectra VXR all were all originally fitted with 18" snowflake alloys (8x18) with the 19" multi spoke "VXRs" as an option (although many of them were fitted as standard to alot of the later Vecs.

19" snowflakes were a dealer option on the VXR as far as I know and none of them came from the factory with those fitted

18" multi spoke "VXRs" were never available and all are copies, they were first made by BK and called the BK999 wheels. Later copies are far better

Cheers guys. Pretty conclusive then that any 18" VXRs being touted as genuine items simply can't be, end of story.
