Default Sticking clutch when changing gear.

Hi again all, been a while, so I have a Vectra C 2.2 Petrol Direct, I'm finding that when changing gears, especially 1st through to third, that the clutch plate is sticking giving a shuddering, so as though not properly disengaged and then once in the next gear it's like everything has to race back up to drive the gear properly, I have a 1.8 LS and I have no problems like this no matter how I drive it, the gear stick will move back a small amount when these gears are being accelerated on slowly diminishing with each up change so I'm guessing a possible gearbox mount issue?? the clutch pedal rides quite high before biting but no slippage when in gear so if anyone has an idea on this I'm all ears, thanks, Andy.

Juddering clutches were a common problem on early Vectra 1.8's. Think the solution is a modified clutch assembly.

Hi and thanks for your reply, it's actually the 2.2 on an 06 plate that's doing it, to describe it another way it's snatching when the throttle is lifted and the clutch dipped, to get it smooth I have to think about it and I don't think that's the best way to drive, it should be automatic and without cause. It's odd as the 1.8 (04) is fine, I can just drive without issue although the clutch can judder as you say.
