1.9 cdti exhaust.. could i....

I've recently got myself a vectra 150 1.9cdti and looking to add a nice exhaust system to it, that doesn't cost to much and looks oem.

I was thinking of just removing the centre section with a pre made one off ebay for £45 thats a direct replacment from the second cat to the backbox but with no middle section. First of all what kind of difference will i benefit from? I'm looking to de restrict the exhaust a little.

But anyway then i came across this (see link below) it looks the same as the 1.9 exhaust but with the extra flange for the twin exit at the end.. im thinking if i got this then got a right hand side tail pipe.... boom? That is with your guidance is the 3.0 the same from the second cat back?

Yes, you can get these for the 2.2 which I believe go straight on (not sure on the 3.0), add another rear box and you're sorted.

Now that is what i wanted to hear! Guessing the mounting points will already be there on the other side for the exhaust to clamp on to? Also where is the best place to get the right hand side backbox? Guessing scrap/ breakers?

Yes, all mount points are there already.

If you want OEM then ebay, scrappers etc will be the place to get one, or you get a custom one's made up to fit. Also, bear in mind you will need a second outlet for the 2nd pipe, as you have an SRi you can either dremmel a cut out for it, or replace the rear insert with a twin exit SRi one, or update it to a VXR one, which just clips in, like this (but require painting);

Sorry for hijacking this post, but on the same theme will the twin exhaust outlet bumper insert of a 03 Signum 2.2direct fit a 06 1.9cdti 120 Signum? cheers
