    rolleyes New brake bedding

Hey all, fitted new front discs and pads last week to my 2007 cdti150 and have just noticed that they only seem to be bedding in on the outer 2 thirds of the disc, both passenger and driver side identical. May be that the pads are shaped this way and will eventually bed in or maybe I f##ked up on the fitting although can't see how. Any ideas?? cheers

If this happens, it's usually down to cheap pads that aren't machined correctly; although it can happen with decent pads as well if they just need time to bed in. If the situation is still the same after a couple of hundred miles, you'll need to change the pads before the disk gets ruined by not wearing uniformly.

They were the cheaper option from europarts although I normally dont have probs with stuff from them, was a bit worried that the box said vectra 2.0dti, but assumed they must be same pads

All 4 cylinder Vecs have the same size calipers except the Z20NET, although the issue is more likely to be about how they're manufactured rather than the size or shape.
