    Default double din advice

Hi guys, can anyone recommend a good double din unit that will definitely fit the vec. Looking at a couple of vxrs tomorrow

Now the silver one doesnt have sat nav will probably get a double din unit for the dash. Ive heard caska are quite good but a tad on the steep side. Any recommendations?
Will have to see what they offer for my car aswell.
What do you think on the car prices aswell?
    Cheers

It depends on your budget, but being ex-industry I'd say go for a branded unit rather than an ebay special. Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, Sony, Clarion... any of those will give you a decent experience.

Any double din will fit, but you'll need a fascia adaptor - my personal favourite is the Celsus AFK4041, but Connects2 and Autoleads do them as well. The Celsus part is a much nicer looking part than the C2/Autoleads ones though in my opinion.

You'll need a harness adaptor, and if the cars are full-can you'll need C2 part CTSVX002 with the associate adaptor plug to make it work for the radio you have. This will also activate the steering wheel controls and still allow control of the BC functions from the steering wheel. You'll need an antenna adaptor (fakra to DIN) but most car audio places will be able to supply one without much hassle.

Hows it work with a reversing camera. Can they just be wired up or does it need to br compatible for it?
