Default West Mids Bowling... a story in pictures!

Big thanks to Cara for the following pictures:

I got up early to gve the car a scrub.... set my alarm for 8pm so didn't get up til 09.30, therefore not having time to hoover inside the car "Don't worry," said Amy "who's gonna look in your car any way!".... The first thing Dean did when I got there was go for a peak through the window... the shame!!!!

Plently of oblgatory standing around in the cold wind, talking all things Vectra.... didn't take the girls long to feel the cold and wander off to find the cafe!!!

Lovely turnout, good mix of cars with almost every Vectra-C mod accounted for among them.

A few people went for spins in Daz's VXR..... I couldn't torture myself (or my wallet) with that kind of temptation, but each to there own!!! Lovely car Daz.

What a stunning pair.... certainly turned some heads around Rubery (The locals were trying to work out how long it would take to obtain 8 VXR alloys before somebody complained!!!!)

On to the bowling then (theres only so much car talk to be done standing in the arctic wind).

We all chose our balls very carefully.... had to try and look like we knew what we were doing in front of Phill, who brought his own shoes and ball!

Cara resorted to dirty tricks to win the game on our lane, flashing (her camera) at all of the other players.... shame on you!!

Ed lined up for a few bowls of his own, after spending some time teaching Larissa the finer points of the sport.

Steve, giving his ball a little pep talk ("get me a strike and i'll sort you out with a leather retrimmed case and a lovely bubble badge logo!!")

    "You scored how many?!??!?"

The Stella was certainly improving Marks bowling as the afternoon went on.... shame the same couldn't be said for his balance!!!!.

    "My thumb's stuck!!"

Dean needed the support of his imaginary friend to get the ball going in the right direction: "Lean on me, when your not strong, I'll be your friend......."

Larissa lining up for bowl after a Phil Masterclass.

I'm running out of ideas for captions now!!!

    The happy crowd.

Me... I know I'm not very photogenic!!!.... pleased at having beaten Amy in both rounds, even though she claimed she would Kick My **** all week!!!

So that was the day that was! And the final top scorers at the end of it:

    Round 1:

    Phil: 165
    Cara: 138
    Daz: 108
    Jamie: 107
    Dave: 97

    Round 2:

    Phil: 175
    Mark: 116
    Daz: 112
    Ed: 111
    Jude: 104

I'll scan the score sheets in and post the full score sheets later in the week.

Looks like a real nice day out and the cars are VERY well presented too

And Ed......the weirdest thing........on the pic whith you holding the green ball you are the spitting image of my dad and on the one where you're sitting next to Larisa (green and white top) you're the spitting image of my brother, I had to do a double take .......is that weird or what, if you happen to manage to Leeds on the 11th I'll have no problem picking you out for sure
