    Default Ex demonstrator prices

A friend of mine has just bought an ex demonstrator Ford Kuga (new shape). The model he has bought is the 2.0TDI 163ps Titanium X, now this new with the options on the car come to £29,820. The car, which is second hand, has covered a thousand miles and the deal has been done for £28,500.

Is it me or is that a little expensive?? It is a Ford at the end of the day so I don't think you can add any back order premium ot the sale. Just think it's well overpriced for a second hand car,.. I would have expected nearer £25k

I'd agree, it certainly seems like a pitiful discount for what at the end of the day is basically a second hand car. I think I'd have been expecting a bit more than that off of it, or you may as well have a split new one with only one owner on the paperwork.

I'd of just bought brand new to my own spec for that little off!!

I'd of gone no higher than £24500 personally....

i couldnt agree more tbh, i would have walked away and got something worth that kind of money rather than a ford or brought a brand new one for how little discount he got off.

This is a shocker when I worked at Fords last year at one point we had a used KA, was 3months old and had done around 2000 miles and was £500 more than the same car brand new. This is because it came in on the Ford Direct system. At the same time we also had Focus Petrol Zetec S up for more than the diesel Zetec S same spec same miles just the petrol was more. I'd rather have bought a brand new one but I wouldn't have paid just under 30k for a kuga i'd have bought a used q7.

Who's the daft one tho, Ford or your mate? Any one who spends the best part of 30K on a ford needs there head testing. That goes for Vauxhall, renault, peugeot, alfa's blah blah. only when you get into premium german brands is 30K a reasonable figure.

I wouldnt ever pay more then £10K for a car, as much as it must be nice to have a virginal car, I could never stomach the financial loss.

Also German cars are premium price but not always premium quality!! Japanese cars seem to be better built these days.
