Lol, it is incredible the difference HIDs make. I fitted 35W jobbies and was impressed, then I swapped out the ballasts for a set of 55W (35W ones went to power H3 fogs) ones and was blown away.
If you haven't already ditched the incandescent poor substitute for candles, especially if you own a pre-facelift, you really need to see the light! Pun intended!![]()
Good that you got yours sorted without any extra cost, are they factory fit or after-market ones?
Agree with above post.
Since my first car (a little corsa b) and having fitted the old angel eyes with projector lenses and a HID kit i vouched never to go back to standard halogens again! The light output espec in projector style lenses is no other word for it, perfect. No scatter on anything. Once i sold the corsa i then got a volvo s60 which had reflector headlamps, had that for a year and insisted the next car i purchased HAD to have projector headlights, when i got the vectra i had them ordered before i even purchased the car and fitted the day after delievery of it![]()
Long story short. If you havn't tried HID's just try it, to me its the biggest modification you can do that not only improves your safety but also makes it look good and is pretty cheap.
I've had 55w HIDs fitted for about 6 weeks now, and can't stand halogen anymore and I find how little I used my main beams now. I've used my 4x4 last couple of days and you realize how poor halogens are compared to HIDs!@
