Car needs new back brakes now and was going to replace with pagid ones from euro car parts (pads & discs) Not a bad price from there either £66, used them on my previous two cars with no complaints, Anyone had any experience with these brakes on the vectra and will the dealer be much dearer than this ? Thanks

Get pads from VX and discs from ECP. A few members (me included) had issues with non-VX pads rattling

Go to the dealers and buy their disc and pad kit bud. It shouldnt be much more than ECP (i'm sure the last time I was 56 quid trade), the pads won't rattle or squeal and the discs have the non contact areas painted so they won't rust quickly.

Pads rattling comme from calipers guides not slipping correctly in rubber sleeves, leaving a small gap allowing pads to rattle. Using OEM pads doesn't help. Applying silicone grease in the sleeves, or if they're badly worn, replacing them (AND putting silicone grease) is the solution.

Cheap pads rattle and squeal on the Vectra and Signum, it's a known fact on here. I've also personally been there and done that, that's why I won't fit cheap pads to a car now. Not the first time i've had to file a new set of pads due to them being too tight either.

Non OE manufacturers use less strict tolerences meaning they are normally a crap fit
