What were the make of the plugs you fitted pal?
You say still smokey...what were the original symptoms that made you change your glow plugs? Presumably poor starting, but only from cold? Any other problems?
Bosch plugs.
And yes poor starting and had the car with spanner light on, which went out after a few miles.
before the poor starting and light being on, the car was fine.
the light doesn't come on now
Also with the old plugs in, it's wasn't lumpy on start up
BOSCH tend too be a good buy! does the glow plug light on dash go out after couple of secs on first start, in the morning?
Yeah got no prob with the light now
If you have access to a code reader you may be able to read the stored fault codes, even if the eml has gone for now.
on start up, does it feels like its misfiring/lumpy as you say. Then its running fine after a min or so? correct pal? if so take the plugs out, theres a way of testing them to see them glow and if there instantly or delaying there glow time! take each plug to the positive side of the battery touching the positive with the top connection end not the glow tip end, hold it there to see how fast it glows up, test each one and see if theres any difference between them all! dont hold them there too long only until theyve glowed, if delayed in heat up time and not instantly, then the are faulty plugs!
