    Default Colour coding indicator lenses....

.....I've read some people have colour coded their indicator lenses...is this legal? Does the indicator shine through enough to be seen?

tinting the sides is fine, as are the rears and the fronts, but with the 'all in one' headlight, are you really just going to tint the top portion??.. that'd look a bit daft..

The sides are okay as long as it still shines orange through, as are the backs, but if you tint the rear lights yourself the reflectors can't be tinted as it will then warrant an MOT fail..so you'll have to mask them off..

Never thought of this mod....I purchased some silvertec Amber lamps (£14.99 ) for the side repeaters only to find out that they are infact Orange lens not orange lamps

So if anyone has got any ideas on how to remove the "Fried Egg " look please help me......

If not this one is favourite......

I've been tempted to do this mod soon.

    It's pretty easy.

    1) remove the lense covers by pushing towards front of car and they just pop off.
    2) clean all dirt etc off.
    3) Get colour coded paint (tiny amount needed)
    4) Mix paint with laquer so its about 50% paint 50% laquer.
    5) Either spray the paint on, or use a very soft bristled brush.
    6) Leave to dry, then put on car and test.
    7) Add another coat if required.

The 50% laquer is so that the lense is still part transparent for the bulb to shine through. It's UK law to have indicators on the side of the car, so don't want to block the light off completely.
