Yes ignore the ticket, don't pay it, it'll cost them more, a lot more to take you to court, they'll never do it, I am also based in chesterfield, but I was fined in the centre of sheffield by the sane agency, found a ticket on my car eventhough I paid and displayed, I wrote a letter to them and said I won't pay nothing, they never got back to me. In your case as advised here already just ignore it, They did the same to the mother in law in the same retail park at chesterfield, she just ignored it, it's a civil matter between you and them the authorities will not interfere unlike the council, all a bunch of thieves.

No, just ignore it mate, I wrote them a letter in my ignorance in order to show them a copy of the pay and display ticket that I bought but they didn't want to know, so I said you'll get nothing from me and forgot it. Ignore them they can't touch you.

a few years ago myself along with a few others on here all got parking tickets at donnington services because we stayed over the free 2hr time, (we had a mini meet there) it was a £60 fine and iirc most people just ignored it, a couple of us payed due to pressure from other halfs but the ones that didnt pay anything did get a few letters of intent but after a while all these stopped as they were ignored...

The only people who can issue 'fines' are the police/traffic wardens
All the rest are penalty charges and they have to chase you for the charge....as said above,it's not worth their while chasing it.
I was told to ignore police ones that come through the post and when they say you've been found guilty at court, claim ignorance...make them prove you received the INP..intended notice of prosecution....:-)

I got a euro car parks fine 18months ago at the local asda for parking in a disabled bay ( put on my best limp ).. Got a 60 nuggets fine for my troubles even had a pop at the car park attendant for being such a plum about it told him id never pay it and i never have.. Only ever received the one letter n not heard a thing since.. These vultures prey on the folk who don't see the difference between civil law and criminal law.. Its completely unenforceable so don't worry bout it mate they just try to bleed the poor working class man for every penny the taxman has been nice enough to leave in your pocket
