dreaded fog lights!!

Well today the dreaded fog light went on my 08 vectra.

On my last one i took it to dealer and he charged me £100 to change as he said they needed to remove the front bumper!

firstly is this true and if so how the hell do i get the yellow warning off the dash cos im not paying that!!

Also ive managed to secure edition 100 full interior and door cards that i plan to fit in the next week and any tips would be appreciated.

If i have posted in the wrong section as im a newbie please mods feel free to move to correct section.

Put it this way mate for 100 quid I'd be able to cover my fuel all the way to you an back.

have a meal few beers and give you some change.

seriosly tho a independent garage will fit it for 10/15 quid

If its not a derv you'll be able to change it no problems by putting front wheel on curb an crawling underneath

For the fog light bulb?

Can get to it without removing the front bumper.

It's easier to remove it tho, which isn't difficult. (How 2 on here)

Swapping the bulb is even easier, there's a disc on the bottom of the foglight, undo that, unclip the bulb, then fit the new one.

Easy as 1,2,3 definately would not hand over a 100 hard earned reddies for a bulb replace / fitment!

That was Vauxhall dealer in Dewsbury and it was more than 5 years ago!!

wonder what they charge now.......?

The one in Dewsbury is one I use as in only up the hill, usually ok there, although the main parts guy is a mod on AOC so he gets the whole car thing lol...
