stripping an egr valve

has anyone actually fully stripped the dti egr valve down to see exactly whats wrong with it.

mines going tits up and id love to strip and at least give the insides a clean to see if i can get anymore mileage out of it but iv never seen one done.

so, if anyones done it or knows of any thats been done, id like to have look !

no i want to physically strip the whole egr valve to bits to look inside it and cant find ****** all lol

id do mine but if i break it completely, il be stuffed, so id like to see a how2 if it being stripped before i have a go.

All I know that on mine it doesn't need to be stripped its a simple prob the spring bit that is exposed is stiff and cant be oppend by the solenoid when I fist take it out after its causing probs I can barely press it in with my finger after I clean it its smooth.

Oh just seen yours is different to mine completely.

has anyone got an old dead egr valve that they would either strip down as a how 2 or send it to me for me to strip

bit the bullet and bought one... 211 quid so wasnt that bad i suppose
