Default Xbox buying advise plz guys....

Looking to get an xbox 360 for my little lad just a few questions:
1, is it worth buying a second hand one with all this red ring i hear about? If the seller has good feedback it mite be ok.
2, what should i expect to pay for say a 4gb slim model??
3, what is most reliable model to avoid red ring often?
4, would you rather have a ps3??? As that is the other option.
    thats guys, all input welcome

Xbox over ps3 all day long. If you are worried about red ring which i have never experienced and over 10years i have owned 3 different types of xobx pop into game or gamstation and get a pre owned, it then might come with a warranty of some sort. Plus you get to pick it up as i hate electronic goods in transit!

I have both Xbox and ps3. Not much difference between the 2 apart from ps3 has bluray drive. Think you lad would be happy with either

Don't go for a 4 gb one mate better getting a 250gb as you will end up having to by more storage the more games he plays. depends on your budget as well. but for £50 more I'd say the 250 gb one is better value. I'm pretty sure game give a years warranty on pre owed consoles. My girls have a 4 gb slim and my lad has an elite 250 gb old version and it did the red ring of death when it was 3 years old but was covered when Xbox had the issues with them and was all sorted under warranty hth.

Yes they do play DVD's and yes that's not a bad price. Just pop in to game with the games you don't want and exchange em

what you will find as the more games you play the more memory you will need for games saves. but as a start the 4gb will be fine for your wee lad mate.

@Jow20 mate just bought two faulty ones off ebay. I pick one up tomorrow that just needs a new dvd laser. Common problem. Will fix that later this week. If all works okay it will come up on here for 50 notes plus dev.

The other won't sync with controllers which will be an easy fix. Have the parts already.

That one will go up for sale at 40 plus dev.

    If interested pm me.

    Cheers

    Chris
