Default Got the GM flat blades but don't like the GM logo?

If you've got a set of the flatblade wipers and don't like the GM logo staring at you when you're driving......

    ...you can remove it simply.

It looks at first glance that it might be a sticker that could peel off, but it's actually an ink/paint logo on the plastic.

To remove, simply get some acetone (nail polish remover) and a cotton bud or small cloth. Apply a bit of acetone to the bud/cloth and rub with a reasonable amount of pressure and it'll gradually remove the logo.

WARNING!: Do NOT let the acetone get onto any paintwork or it will mark it. Be careful when handling the acetone and watch you don't get any splashing from the cloth/bud onto the bonnet. You only need a small amount on the bud/cloth so dripping/splashing shouldn't be an issue.

A couple of minutes work (if that) on each blade and voila!....

sounds like it'll be safer to remove the wipers first

i remember Nutron saying that the GM sign annoyed him, personally...it doesn't bother me

There's no need to remove the wipers Harry. I did mine in situ and unless you're a real clutz and start splashing the acetone everywhere, you'd be hard pushed to get any on the paintwork.

The warning was just so people were fully aware of what acetone could do if it got onto paintwork.

Yeah, I remember Nutron and somebody else saying it annoyed them - and me too!

They're excellent IMO. There are a couple of threads going on them and the feedback is generally good. Couple of guys seemed to report problems of squeaking and juddering, but I've had nothing like that. Work great, clear the screen very well and look so much slicker than the standard ones.
