is that pic a bit dated? that doesn't look like the i500 to me.

are they the graphics that Mark's gonna have for the trip?

As Tommy said, it probably wouldn't look very professional for the feature in TV - and we also have the traders on the site to consider as well - given that it's a club trip.

Also as Tommy said, I also think it would spoil the looks of the cars, turning them into Gumball Rally type advertising hoardings.

If the cars were to have Total Vauxhall and Irmscher external stickers on the cars (for example), that would be a different thing given their direct involvement with the trip. I'm not saying we should as such, but if people fancied having some stickers on the outside of the cars, then we should at least keep it uniform and in keeping with the trip.
Well if Mark has gone ahead and got the car done like that, I guess the conversations we had after he showed me the mock-ups fell on deaf ears.

Erm...well, I don't really wana get involved with the politics side of this.
But if I am brutally honest, first impressions of that pic where, wow, that looks quite smart for a courtesy car !!!
    That's before I realised who's it was !
I don't think it does the look or the car any favours to be honest, even if it is temporary.

Yes Micky, in a way it does matter what people put on their cars.

The trip is a club run first of all so how the cars are presented etc. all reflect on the club.

We're being featured by Total Vauxhall who are coming along on the trip and doing a big article in the PVS edition of the magazine. Obviously photographs are going to be a big part of this. Does it really look good to have cars turned into advertising hoardings for this feature? Does it look good to have one car (or more God forbid!) stick out like a sore thumb in the photos 'cos it is covered in full signwriting for a dealership who has nothing to do with the trip as such? There's a helluva difference between having some internal stickers of companies etc. and a full signwriting of a car.

Plus, when I talked to Mark about this topic in the past, even he said that if people turned up with stuff on the car that was deemed 'too much' he would ask them to remove it. Then he sends me the mock-ups (which I thought initially were a wind-up - maybe they still are and you're in on it?!! ) and asks me to give my opinion - which I did.

And the other thing as well, I don't think it actually does Mark's car any favours either - covering up his cracking car. It makes it look like some big courtesy car! Is it worth having all that over it that for the sake of service from the dealer?

Maybe this is a big wind-up from Cabby - I don't know. If it's not, then we (Graeme and I) are not impressed I'm afraid.

    Edit: Just seen GG's post

Well Micky m8, it's maybe not the best thing to do - start off a thread showing Mark's mock-up saying it's going to Germany when he hasn't even had, or decided to have, the graphics put on the car!
