    Default Hello from Dunstable (Bedfordshire)

I just wanted to say hi, And thanks for allowing me to join.
I've been a Vauxhall man most of my life (didn't follow in the footsteps of the old fella...He prefers The "F" word..lol) from a HC Viva, Cavaliars mark 1,2,3 and now on my 2nd Vectra (B and now C). I have body modded the Cavs back in the day...but Marriage and kids stopped that for a while, so now climbing back in the saddle so to speak. I'll upload some pics a bit later

Thanks everyone. Not sure whats going to be modded as yet (using this site for ideas) but i have definitely benefited from from your posts so far. I took the car for its MOT last weekend and found the front coils were broken (the crunching noise over small ramps told me something wasn't quite right..lol). I read thru the "how to" part of this site and grabbed a set of struts and coils found it a breeze changing them over. Turns out the shocks were as dead as the springs. The only problem i have right now is the supplier sent out two offside shocks instead of a pair...so waiting on the return. Hopefully when its done, it wont feel like a 1960's mini coupe....lol

One quick question i do have for you guys is.... I think i have a stuck thermostat. I've flushed matrix out in both directions, but still not getting much heat in the cabin. servo's all work properly on the controls...But as someone mentioned before, while moving, the gauge doesn't raise...only when stationary. I want to check/change the stat...so my question is this...Do i have to buy the whole housing...or can i get away with just the stat itself?
