Default No Blowers on any speed HELP

Have a Signum elite 7 speed auto climate control fan

Had a funny smell the other day, and now no fans on any speed including 4 so not the resister problem

What does this mean? Do i need a whole new heater and blower unit???? Whats my next steps

Also how long to change this part out?

    Thanks in advanced

See if you can spin the motor I've seen one or two seize up, easy to remove just 4 screws in the housing behind/under the glove box

So its behind the glove box?
Is the glove box easy to get out?

I heard some can fill with water from the scuttle tray is this true?

Yes and yes. To get the glove box out, open it and just undo the screws top and bottom, (you may have to remove the trim panel under the glove box) slide it out, unplug the light and remove you should be able to see the heater box with the circular fan housing screwed up into it undo the screws and slide the fan assy out give it a spin!

Yes. My carpets got flooded from a blocked scuttle tray. A few weeks later my heaters packed up working. I too have the 7 speed climate. You may find that it's the resistor that has packed up. I got my new resistor from a member on here for a good price. The resistors are different for climate and non climate. And in the price too. The climate resistor you can get of eBay for 60-100 pounds. The glove box is very easy to take out. 5 screws ( 3 top 2 down or vice versa ). The resistor is a brake pad type shape and sits at the bottom of the fan. 2 screws to take out and it's plug and play. I changed this on mine and my climate worked again. Hope this helps

why would it not be the resistor if your climate is not working at all. Mine had a burning smell too before it packed up then no fans at all worked. Resistor solved the problem.

I read on here that the speed 4 always works and its the resistor if you are using other speeds sch as 3 and 2 etc...

hopefully im wrong as the resistor is cheaper

Jeff I will take it apart in the morning check and get back to you

I believe that is the case if its the normal 4 speed blowers and not the 7 speed climate. If the resistor goes in the 7 speed climate then it ALL stops working. Resistor for the 7 speed climate is up to 100 pounds rather than 15 for the normal 4 speed. You do have the 7 speed and not the 4?
