Default Caliper problems, urgent help req.

Got a serious problem and need someone who is handy with a angle grinder. Just went to fit new discs and pads to the VXR and my caliper is hitting the wheel spokes even with 6mm spacers. Because the new pads are pushing the caliper out i need to shave about 2mm off the caliper as i can't go any wider with new spacers.

I REALLY NEED SOME URGENT HELP, my old discs are falling apart and cracked.

You can't or you don't want to go wider with new spacers. 10 mm spacers will be fine as I had the same problem with my aftermarket alloys after I fitted new pads. You can look into hubcentric spacers with longer wheel nuts which I will be getting soon.

I have got a pair of 9mm spacers sitting in the garage but the wheel is not sitting on the hub using them. Also it's trying to keep the wheel within the arch as it's tight now with the 6's.

Yeah, i'm running a set of 3SDM 0.01'S, they curve in quite alot.
It's only just touching, you can still move the wheel so just needs a little shaving.

I think the smallest hubcentric spacers are 16mm. With the alloys you have it might be your only bet as like you said with normal bigger spacers your wheels are not on the hub. Search on eBay. You can get the front hubcentric spacers with long nuts for around the 50-55 mark delivered. That or go back to oem alloys.

I don't know about shaving a bit of the calipers but I'm sure someone will come along and advise you. Mine wasn't the actual caliper rubbing against the inside of my alloy but the metal clip that goes over the pads/caliper. 10 mm spacers solved it but as I have spigot rings too for my alloys too they now vibrate at 60 mph due to not sitting on the hub properly so I am waiting for the hubcentric ones to be delivered.

I had this problem once with a mates car. We just took a few mm of each brake pad using a belt sander. Took just 2mm each side and gave us 4mm which was enough to clear the caliper

Well i'm taking her to a garage tomorrow to see what they say, only problem with shaving the pads down is it would need to be done every time to fit new pads, shaving a mm or 2 off the caliper would be a one off.
Spacer wise i can only find either 6 or 9mm and i need something inbetween.

Heres a pic with the old discs and pads and as you can see there's only a mm or 2 clearance from the spoke.
