Been offered a laptop with Vauxhall dealer software on it.

It's a laptop running windows xp and has vauxhall dealer global tis system gds2 and tech2 diagnostic software on it.

would it be any good for my 2008 vectra 1.9 cdti (120) and will I be able to do all stuff like activate things on tech2 etc.

Tech2 is usually a handheld device, rather than a laptop.

I had the same thing on my old pc, tech 2 was ok but TIS was way out of date all the serial nos were out of date. I know a few guys who have tech 2 on their laptops.

You can get a TIS disk from pretty well anywhere without having to buy a laptop. In any event, without the appropriate hardware to connect to your car, it is no more than a reference book, again something you can get hold of quite easily without having to buy a laptop.

Mind you, if you go back to them and say you'll have it "provided it comes with all the car connecting "stuff" " then you might just well have managed to buy the "bargain of the year"

What hardware is needed then
