    Default Help with clutch change

    Hi All

    Does anyone have a step by step on how to remove the gearbox to change the clutch on a 2004 vectra C 1.8cc

    Remove batt & trtray
    pop off gear cables
    remove road wheels

    discinnect drop links, track rods, lower arm ball joints

    disconnect steering uj (ensure key out ign and steering lock on)

    remove power steering electrics

    Remove lower engine support brackets
    undo subframe and lower and leave O/s/f corner bolt in place or remove sub frame fully

    remove starter
    remove all bell housing bolts

    support box and remove gearbox mount bolts

    lower box

    job done.

    Hi thanks for your quick responce

    Is this job easy or a pain i have read thats it hard to do, but by your instructions it sound easy is there any problems i mite encounter along the way

    Depends mate

    how good you are with spanners

    vecs are probably one of the more pain in the arse clutches to do be side of subframe.

    their not massively hard to do just very time consuming.
    i would say a full weekends work if doing on back.
