    Default 1.9 cdti 150 lumpy/surging when driving

Hi, can anyone possibly help/ advise.
    I have a vectra c 19.cdti 150 and has done 140k.

When driving it runs fine at first but after a while the engine starts to run lumpy and feels as though im putting my foot on the brake ever so slighty and then releasing it. maybe i could descibe it as a kind of slow juddering feeling. (sorry there may be a better way of describing it but cant think at the moment ).

I have blanked egr off and cleaned throttle body (last year), injector 3 modded last year, changed boost pipes. Alternator changed.

Any suggestions and advice would be much appriciated.

    Thanks in advance

Also just to add if I have the car at idle and then rev it slightly mabe only up to 1200 - 1500 rpm I can feel the engine judder and shake. But seems fine at normal idle.

Is EGR fully blanked, or the one with holes in it?

sorry that should say fully blanked off.
The problem is still there but is intermitant. The engine management/emmisions light is on so i removed the blanking plate to see if this would clear, and maybe sort the problem.Nothing changed.

I've cleaned the vac pump filter cleaned egr and throttle body, changed all boost pipes checked air filter.

Does anyone have any suggestions of possible fixes before I have to take it too the garage once again and loose more of my hard earned £££s.

I know the obvious answer is get the fault codes read but i'd like to try all i can before surrendering to the steelers.

    thanks again

Sorry but don't understand why you'd want to throw money time an effort throwing parts at something when could go to local garage pay to get codes read an then at have a fighting chance at finding an sorting the fault

It's worth investing in a handheld obd reader or a vauxhall specific one as its a great help to plug in pull a code an have a tough idea an what car thinks is wrong to them perform some tests.

can be had for under 20 quid so pay for them self after 1 use
