Selling the worrys

I am looking for advice.
I may be getting a new car in a few days and need to decide what I do with the money pit Signum.
Now, since last year I have put full adjustable shocks with springs (SPAX), rebuilt engine with new piston rings, valves, timing chains and upper gaskets and water pump.
Since then I have a misfire occur which can't be sourced.
Have replaced ignition coil, spark plugs, fuel pump and FPR with no result.
There is also oil and collant leaks which can't be found.
Now, I don't want to scrap the vehicle due to these new parts.
I will obviously be selling the fuel pump, coil, plugs and suspension (I think £500 alone for these).
Interior is mostly good quality and engine has done over 141000 and has the CD70.
What else would I be able to sell if I looked at stripping the car and what would be a rough cost or would it be best stopping once the new things have gone?
Also I have just bought tax so refund on that.
Would I be better selling as 1 due to the issues or would scrap and strip be best (and yes, its an opinion where no one will be at fault for speaking)??

youd be amazed what you cud sell, i had a mondeo on my drive, advertised that i was breaking it, people sent me requests for parts and i stripped and sold the lot within 3 months!

If you have leather seats plus a CD70 you would be looking at around £400 minimum for both. Add headlamps, rear lamps, switches dashboard speedo, alloys and thats around another £250 and you haven't even started on the engine, gearbox, body panels and any extras you may have like park pilot or TPMS if fitted.

And those prices would be likely to be quick sale prices, you might get more if you are prepared to hold out.

Well, I am going to strip and sell. Just gotta find out how much it will cost to store whilst I do it and put a closing deadline on scrap date.
First thing is getting it off the road and get my just purchased TAX back.
Anyone offer any advice on selling a car that i'm breaking on here?
Do I just take a photo of the hole car and that is enough?

First of all you need to be a FULL member. So get yourself upgraded before you can sell on here.. What you need to do then is to take photos of the various bits you have for sale and add your username and date on a bit of card next to it to verify its you that owns that particular part and then upload it to the image database on vectra-c (NOT photobucket or the likes or it WILL be deleted).

I'm sure other people will ask for other bits you dont have listed, you can then just add them to the 'thread' as you go along (to keep it all above board)

As Dean (Plasma) says, you need to be a FULL MEMBER to sell on the forum and yes, all ads WILL be deleted if you do no follow the forum rules.
It's a mare when you spend out and things still cause issues. When do you say "enough is enough" and cut your losses ?
