Default Anybody on here a current vaux technician

Had about enough of my current vaux dealers as everytime I go in there they just fob me off. Want someone to have a look at my breaks as after they point blank turned round and said do I know how to brake last time I took the car in.

Just so you know what's happened so far,
Car brakes completely failed and just vibrated when I put my foot down even when I re-applied although no wheels where locked.

Took it in told nothing is wrong.

Recently put my foot on the brakes again and now I've got a nice chip to the front bumper after the brakes went solid as if the vacuum pump had failed and rear ended my bros car.

Could this all be down to the vacuum pump or is there a more serious issue that they are avoiding?

Just want someone to look at the car that hasn't got a stake in it if I send it back If you know what I mean, get the feeling they keep ignoring it so they don't have to take the car back. Because as far as in concerned its unfit for purpose and not safe on the road :-/

I figured it was either a servo fault or master cylinder fault as it only does it randomly and sometimes its soft at the top but like pressing a brick from halfway down. :-/ similar thing?

Not sure they just said compute shows no faults and they can't see anything with the hand break or wheels themselves. They've said nothing about the servo or master cylinder.

That really p****s me off about main dealers now. Had a few instances where they have fobbed me off with that one, and when I've told them to manually investigate I get the same answer "sorry sir the computer missed that one"....

If the brakes have completely failed like that, there's obviously a major fault somewhere.....

So they've not actually offered to go on test drive etc?

If I can't find a fault I always offer for customer to take me out and see if they can demonstrate fault.

in your case it may need to be in a more controlled manner but still.

Could be a partial failure of servo diaphragm.
    or failing vac pump

i would apply vacuum to servo and see if it holds ok

That's what I would of thought, they just take it off me and tell me there is nothing wrong at the end of the day. It's not even a constistant fault it just randomly happens. Has only happened to me twice,

The first time I had just started the car and was flying down the road to work and was braking (or trying to) brake quiet heavily for a roundabout when it first juddered and didn't stop.

This second time I was only doing about 15mph when I went to put the brakes on to slow for a corner and this time it felt as if the pressure just disappeared from the pedal and there was no brakes again. :-/ I can't think of anything common between the two occurrences of if to be a cause. :-/
