    Default Speed restrictor.

Just a quietly if anybody knows how to install one or whether it can be done via tech2 lending my brother my car for a while and want to reduce the risk of him destroying my car.

Not too sure how exactly it's done, but by 'gentleman's agreement' in Europe, vehicles are electronically limited to a maximum speed of 250km/h (155mph). Although the agreement is regularly broken with the higher end performance vehicles.

I know that but he's more likely to have an accident booting as fast as possible along the motorway than 30mph on a main road.

I know I'll say something that's not politically correct, but I quite don't agree.

Driving fast while being responsible, aware of the traffic and pedstrians, and respectful for other drivers, is always possible as long as you know your car's limits, everything in your car (handling and braking first) is correctly maintained, the weather, the road, etc. allow it, and of course, you know you own limits as a driver and don't exceed them.

But being stuck at 30 mph at a crossroads, having to exceptionally clear it because for instance there's an overspeeding lorry coming straight towards you to cut you in half (yes, other drivers too can drive too fast / improperly, and you must be aware of it), and not being able to do so because of the ****ing speed restrictor...

No, 1000 times no. Even the idea sounds like a nightmare to me. I would even dare driving a car if it was limited like that !
