    Default Z22se mpg??

Who's got the Z22SE and what MPG are you getting?

I haven't seen it go above 31.7 and its quite depressing...

31.7 was after a 25 mile drive 65-70mph so lower around town

Cars service's are up to date and the only 'Modification' was the airbox mod, removing the trumpet out of the airbox.

Might look at a diesel soon...

I did once get 415 miles out of it with the fuel light flashing on a drive back from Scotland.

I think I'm filling up more because i'm putting the same (cash) amount of fuel in each time....and the price's keep rising!!

I had a Mercedes B class Diesel last week from work for a few days and I was shocked that the fuel hardly moved.

Same here, I've had 420 from a full tank once last year, I'm averaging 30 at the moment

39mpg from Leeds to South Wales, a week pottering about and a return journey. However its usually sitting around 25mpg. The cold temps wont help.

Are you saying that you relied on the fuel computer for the figures?

If so, what do you get when brim the tank, drive and use most of the tank, then brim it again and use a trusty calculator to work out the mpg?

Fuel computers are rarely accurate. They'll always be a couple of mpg out at best.

Wow your getting almost diesel mileage from a very thirsty Vx 4 pot engine. I was lucky to get 450 out of my old one. That was nursing it and having cruise set to 75 on the motorway and I do 95% motorway driving. So you must be ford long along at about 50 to get 550 miles out of a tank
