mixed reviews on these removers, I had to whack at mine with a chisel, nothing worked apart from that.

mine was the same I drilled a small hole through the plug and let it drain the oil out then I ground the head of the sump down with a small angle grinder then used an extractor to remove the shank of the plug

replaced sump plug with one for a Renault takes a big key to remove it what had been put in was something from a BMW so im told

none of the local factors round here had one for a vauxhall

you could always buy one of those vac pumps and not worry about the plug

I tried irwins, mole grips basically every thing what i ended up doing is got a socket a size smaller and tapped it on with a hammer that got it off.

Mine was the same. The last oil change I had we had to use a suction pipe to remove the oil. The garage was talking about welding a nut to the sump plug and removing that way.

I bought a Seago oil extractor to remove the oil through the dipstick hole--found it to be an excellent tool--just make sure the engine is hot first, pump up and then just keep an eye on it---Dave
