    Engine : 2.2 DTI

    Year : 2013

Default acaetano's 03 Opel Vectra GTS

Well, this is my car's diary...i bought it at about a year ago...before it i had a Focus mk1 Estate 1.8TDdi, that i loved a lot...but it started to have some problems (i had to refurbish the engine, the turbo probably had some kind of a leak because it produces a white smoke cloud everytime i hit the gas throttle).

    It started as this:

    And become to this:

    Mod's List:
    -Eibach Pro-Kit springs
    -Bilstein B6 shock absorbers
    -Kahn RSR 17'' rims
    -Rear spoiler
    -Radio 6CD 6006E
    -Arm rest
    -K&N performance air filter
    -EGR off
    -Cat OFF
    -Ghia interior lights

Now, let's go to what matters, the Vectra:

When it arrived, on February 2012:

    Interior:

    Nowadays:

On the exterior it doesn't changed a thing...only the aerial and the parking assist sensors:

    On the interior

    -Light's switch with CC

    -Astra H gear knob:

I'm sorry for the bad quality, but my cell doesn't do it better

Now it has 195k km, and no worries at all...almost 50k km of driving pleasure.
The issues that i had with this car are described below:
-I screwed MAF's body...clamps too tighten...by me new one to the place.
-Oil pressure warning light blinking when the engine was neutral at normal temp...after an oil change the issue still remains, and after some measures with a gauge we had seen that the oil pump was fine. Then we thought that it was an electrical problem. After we enter on ECU and a hard reset, the warning light no longer blinks.
-Last weekend it show the electronic failure warning...I stopped to see what's going on, because I have a homemade union on the valve next to the battery (that i don't know what is or what's for...), but it was all ok. I started the engine and it was normal, and since that it's running fine.

    Best regards
    acaetano

    Thanks guys...
A little help now. I'd like to bring the rims outside, but here if you have spacers the car is denied on the annual control. Is there any other solution without changing rims? For Focus you can use the axle-handling done for it...Vauxhall has the same thing? Here in Portugal i can't find it out.

Let's update this topic. Nowadays my Vec has 201k kilometers, CC activated, and passed at the annual control without any issues.

I thaught that the vibrations on rich bass sound was from the speakers but it passed with the source change. Awsome! \m/
