Default How much should i be paying for cambelt change?

My car has just clicked 70,000miles and it was 5 years old in January, looking at service book the cambelt isn't due till 100k, but i was thinking about getting it done now along with the water pump for peace of mind.Called my local dealer today and they said it was £249 all in for a cambelt kit, and £37 on top of that for waterpump so roughly £325 all in.They said i couldn't get my 25% off with my masterfit card, as the £249 was a specail deal. Does this sound like a good price or are they having my pants down. Also should i bother getting the belt done or just wait till the 100k mark?

    Vehicle : Vectra C

    Trim : SRI

    Engine : 1.8 VVT

    Year : 2007

    Mileage : 76 000

    Default

I also have an 07 plate Vectra, done 76 000 miles. Vauxhall said it needs doing at 100 000 miles but the reason ive just got this car is because my clio went bang when the cambelt went, so id also like to know cost of fixing. If i get a quote ill let you know.

Are there any signs of when it needs doing? Sounds or feelings?

    Cheers
