    Default Two significant events today!

The car had it's first service today. £111 is just about acceptable. Unfortunately when I got home I noticed a chunk of laquer was missing from my alloy. It's not massive and I know I'll never prove they did it, but I know it wasn't like that this morning. I'm meticulous in looking after those alloys!!

Got home and found my Irmscher grill had arrived. Got excited only to find it was missing the 'i' badge that was clearly shown on the photo. I've fitted it anyway and I'm waiting for a reply from the seller.

On a more positive note, what's the going rate for a Vx SRi grill. I'll post mine on e-bay now.

What I would do is keep the SRi grille and stash it. When you change cars next refit it and sell the Irmscher one. You'll get more dosh for that!

Sorry bout the alloy mate, when I had the car in a couple of weeks ago I warned them about my alloys, they even wrote on the job sheet I had warned them, just in case !! Inspected them when I got it back as well, then ****ed it on the way into TRAX, sods law !!

The grilles don`t really sell i`m afraid, you can get an I badge from Irmscher-bits if the seller deosn`t come with one .

Risky business if they take offence to it and and end up phoning professional standards.

I'm looking at keeping the Vec long term (which will be a change for me). It'll only get broken in the shed so I'll sell it on.

My thoughts exactly. Traffic Officers are allowed a lunch break - aren't they? As long as MLC didn't try to 'abuse' his position how could they complain. I think the mere sight of a Traffic Officer in his uniform querying about a scuffed alloy wheel may illicit a quick response!! LOL

Especially if he gets him in a headlock, takes him down the nick & gives the guy a good slapping. Serious offence - Alloy damage, on a vectra as well, no defence really.

Can't see that this constitutes abusing his position at all.

Is it me or have I seen too many Sweeney repeats?

    I
