Ive just cancelled my renewal with them they want about £100 extra this year, no thanks, put my details into compare and up popped esure, £429 , great i thought. Then i read the small print and it says under other drivers it excludes your partners car as 3rd party, what a joke, so unless im named on hers its no good and that will shoot hers up. The next price is 1st direct and thats £553 . Sheilas wheels quote me lol, which is funny because im called michael not michelle lol. poxy insurance, i hate it.

I cancelled my policy with eCar yesterday, and after doing the compare thing again, settled on Admiral. Went to their website, requoted and their FC quote was £300 cheaper than their comparethemarket quote for TPFT. Thought "bargain, I'll have that!" so phoned up. After spending 20 minutes on the phone, they resolutely refused to proceed unless I contacted my old co car insurers about the value of a claim. Was promised a call back by lunchtime yesterday by Admiral (I have all the info they wanted) and I'm still waiting for it now!

Ended up going with Swiftcover, a little bit more expensive but no hassle to get the policy and their online portal is infinitely better than eCar!

I went with Sheilas wheels this time as Direct Line wanted another hundred quid more for the one minor speeding ticket I've had in 10 years.
