Default Estate owners need help regarding rear wiper

quick question really, i got a replacement rear blade from A.B.S., i say blade i mean the floppy bit and the plastic holder bit that look like the old style wiper blades that go on the front, the guy behind the counter said it would fit and it did, however its too flippin long and now hits the rear wash at the top of the screen, i`ve rescued the old rear wiper bit from the bin and i was thinkin, do i need refill as in the just buying the floppy bit that fits in the original plastic holder?

phew! bit of a long one that, lol

and oddly, the floppy bit of rubber measures 14 and a half inches, not 14 or 15

Can't you cut the new blade down to fit the old holder?

Yeah, take it back. I bought one from Halfords a couple of weeks ago. When I came to fit it, it was much longer than the existing blade but there was also no way the blade would fit on the existing arm. I definitely bought the one that was listed for the Vectra Estate and when I took it back the guy in the shop double checked, but there was no way it going to fit to the wiper arm. I got a refund.
