Which if the two C Vectras has more comfortable suspension.
THe face lift has better handling I know, but which has better comfort and absorbs the bubmps and pot holls better.
Also which suspension has proven more solid in terms of reliability?

I had an 03 elegance 2.2 with 16" wheels very comforatable ride but cornered like a boat, my 56 design with optional 18" wheels is a little harder (especiailly with the sport mode on) but corners soo much better. The 03 did 122k & I don't remember any suspension components failing at all, can't really coment on the new one as it's only done 10k
Well, I'd say that's up for debate. Here's my thoughts on the handling of the facelift. Scroll down to 'Things I don't like about it>Handling'I'd say the facelift - that's one thing that I noticed about it.Difficult to say I'd think as the facelift has had less time on the market to test this.
D
i did 2500 miles in a facelift sri same as my pre sri and feel the suspension was a lot better on the facelift. it was on 17" wheels as oposed to mine which is 18" but still better. Obviously these arent the models your on about but i think with the facelifts vauxhall tried to adapt the suspension more to uk roads
Duncan, your shortcut doesnt work,
Graeme, I dont think Vectra was adopted for UK roads, it's primarly a european car, made for european roads, and I dont believe that the UK and European version are any different.
well, all the press produced by vauxhall for the UK market stated that the UK cars have all been fitted with revised suspension settings to cope with the different road conditions over here..Not having had the chance to drive an opel i can't say if this is true or not..but after the germany trip i'll be in a better position to comment
Hmm, not sure what happened there - but fixed now. I'm sure I also read some literature somewhere about it being 'tuned' for UK roads i.e. the UK spec one. Maybe the European spec was 'tuned' for European roads (whatever they are) - I'd need to get hold of some online brochures.
In this it says: "Not only have Vauxhall's engineers managed to enhance the cars' refinement, the suspension has also been significantly re-engineered to suit UK roads, completely transforming the driving dynamics."
And where have I seen that picture before?
