Default Crank seal replacement on Z20NET, cost?

As above, I have an oil leak and it has been suggested that it could be the crank seal, any idea how much this would cost? I'm fairly handy with tools, would this job be accomplishable by a DIY mechanic? Are there any other parts I'd need apart from the seal itself?

Depends which seal, is it the front seal by the belt or the rear seal by the box? front seal isnt the end of the world, just pop the belt off and pick the old seal out, press a new one in. Rear seal is a gearbox, clutch and flywheel out job, not cheap.

Edit: and yes front seal is easily done by a home mechanic as long as youre comfortable with re-timing and installing the belt

ah nuts, haha i read it as z20let, the net engine isnt much different to do a front seal on except you'll be spared the arse ache of having to time the engine. Pop the harmonic balancer off the front of the crank. Lever the seal out of the timing chain cover, press the new seal in flush with the cover and bobs your uncle, lube the lip of the seal with oil and put the balancer back on, torque her up and refit the aux belt. Job done

Thanks for that, doesn't sound too difficult, it's the front seal I think, I first noticed oil on the bottom and side of the sump when I last did an oil change, then looking down that side from above below the aux belt I can see oil.
I had provisionally booked it in for this and a pre-mot next monday but I may give it a go myself in the meantime as I'll be working on the car most nights this week, got new shocks and springs to fit on the front, a powdercoated cam cover, also got rear electric windows to do and a few other fiddly bits.
