    Default 3.0cdti Air intake

    Will car breathe better (cold air)if plastic cover which is blocking air intake when bonnet is closed is removed ?

    Come on, give us more than 2 hours to respond, some people on visit once every few days...

    If you want to compare, simply unclip the grille and remove
    Personally, it won't make difference as the air volume will be the same
    Equally a higher speeds the air will be slightly more turbulent (as the fascia removes this) and so may make it worse...

    If you want to improve the air intake then add an additional channel so that it is fed from both sides of the grille (although you will need to modify the grille)

    Cheers.. never thought of removing grill
    Seen some threads where people have fitted a separate cold air feed,just space is quite limited on these babys

    When my local mechanic looked at "Who in their right mind shoehorned that engine into there"

    If you do fit an additional air feed, make sure it is not below the existing one, as you don't want to be sucking up any water...
