    Default parrot muting.....please help

ive just installed a parrot ck3100 to a panasonic cqc8300n h/u on a vectra c facelift. everything works fine but if i connect the mute wire from the h/u to the parrot kit it works fine at a low volume but as soon as i increase the volume over halfway the parrot keeps trying to mute the h/u. it sounds like the cd is skippin for a split second continuously and every time it skips the words "muting" flashes on the display that split second. Any one who is an expert in parrot kit or has an inkling of what is causing please please please help. i was very proud of fitting this by myself but now this little problem has p**sed on my bonfire.

What are you increasing in volume? The stereo volume whilst a call is NOT in progress I gather from your description.
Sounds to me it could be a simple wiring fault. Are you using the ISO interface lead which came with the Parrot kit? Have you tried disconnecting the yellow wire used to mute the radio?

when i'm not on a call and i put the volume up on the stereo thats when the clipping occurs. if i disconnect the yellow mute wire from the stereo then there is no clipping and its fine but when i get a call the sub woofer continues to play.i am using iso interface leads. everything is working when the mute wire is not connected but i want the subwoofer to cut out when i gat a call and the only way you can do that is by connecting the yellow mute to the stereo mute. hope this make sense.

I had the same problem recently.

What I had to do was cut the mute wire on the section of loom that came with the parrot kit (the bit between the h/u's connector and the cars.

This means the mute goes into the parrot mute wire (yellow one in my case) but not into the cars loom.

So if you connected yours to the 'mute in 1' there will be another wire coming out of that ISO block and into the cars ISO block, cut this wire.

The problem is the cars loom keeps grounding and so muting the stereo.

    Hope this makes sense.

Ah ok, mine was going through the ISO connector.

If it is the same as mine there will be 3 wires with bullet connectors coming from the h/u side of the parrot wiring that are labelled 'mute 1' , 'mute 2' and 'mute 3'. If there is a wire from the h/u going into any of the points on the plug for these then that could be causing a problem.

worth tracing the wires path to the original vaux ISO plug and seeing if they lead to the cars mute lead. which i think is brown. Cutting this wire might solve the problem but as you said, yours seems to be wired differently to mine so might not be the right wires to cut.

Sorry I couldnt be more help, but you described the exact problem I had with my car.
