Default Please lets nail this once and for all! Cd70!

I read the internet and various threads till 2am lasnite! There seems to be no definate answer!
ive bought a cd70 with a screen from same car,
    1. Does this need divorcing from doner car to work in mine?
    2. Does it need remarrying and tech2!?
    3. Or is it just plug and play despite if not been divorced etc...
please can we get some definate answers as each time you read on the subject its a different storey! Cheers peeps.

    £200 is yes.

It does not need to be divorced or remarried to anything as long as you're fitted the screen and headunit. If you were using your old screen then yes it would. All plug and play. My sat nav aerial is under the tax disc in the corner. Easy enough to get the wiring behind the glovebox - unscrews with a T20 torx bit and there's 5 screws. 3 along the top when you open the glovebox and one in each corner underneath. Easy to see if you have a torch and stick your head in the footwell.

You're right about the dash vent surrounds. If you have a pre face surround and need a facelift one, PM me! I have a facelift one in my preface dash and it looks ****** stupid!

If you have a full canbus prefacelift, just look for the screen surround designed to fit. I know they were only fitted for a short time during late 2004 early 2005 to the last of the preface cars which also happened to be the first of the full canbus cars.

They are out there, and designed to fit your dash, just keep looking fella.
