Default Flooded carpets then 7 setting blower fail

Had the problem with flooded carpets due to scuttle hole being blocked. Sorted blockage and was trying to dry off carpets but blower has failed on all settings.

Looking through the how-to’s there is lots on the 4 blower setup (resistor pack) but looks like the 7 speed setting is a bit more complicated (does not have a resistor pack??).

Is there a definitive how to for fault finding a 7 blower setting problem?

hi ken P, cant find the resistor pack - any ideas where it is. Looked through the 56 page disc on the blower problem and saw message that climate control did not have resistor pack - was wondering if there was a good how to for climate control fault finding.

There isnt a goog fault finder.. as they very selten fails... but when they do it will cost £££ to get it fixed.. probaly cheaper to get a new blower motor ect. and change that over...

All sorted – blower now working on all settings

Took bottom section of motor off (quite a few torx screws behind the unit that you can’t see). Broke a few of the plastic clips that hold it up as they were brittle.

Took off the silver control unit (with PCB inside it) and gave that a good squirt with switch cleaner). Motor unit slides out when you take the three screws off the bottom. Give the motor, brushes and spindle areas lots of squirts with switch cleaner and WD and it became noticeable easier to turn. Blew out crud with air duster canister and all back together again (not all bolts back).
