New shocks and springs

Had this job on my never ending "to do" list for months and with my M.O.T due in 3 weeks I decided to get it done.
I had a badly leaking rear shock which made the ride terrible!
I done a deal with a guy on eBay for a nearly new set of Bilstein B6 shocks, he reckons they'd done a few hundred miles but when they arrived, quite honestly, you'd never tell they'd ever been on a car!

The springs are made by Kilen and were sourced from a chap on VVOC, he'd bought them in error for his Vectra B so consequently they were brand new!

Only had time to do the rears last night but my god what a difference.

Car is suitably decked on the rear now!





Took it for a quick spin to test my work and even with just the rears done it feels 100% better, so much more positive and confidence inspiring.

Need to grab a couple of tools from Halfords today so I can tackle the fronts tonight, namely a spark plug socket for undoing the tops Will update with pics as I go!

Thanks! Oh the garage is actually the carpark under the building, it's dry, well lit and well ventilated, perfect for working on the car

tell you what, it's been a few years since I've driven a lowered car and I tell you what, it doesn't half make you realise how terrible our roads are!
Looks even better in daylight!
