I got hit by an uninsured driver who didnt have a license

got hit by a guy in a nissan 4x4 the other day in stop start traffic

he gave details to the cops but he didn't give the correct mobile number the police visited his flat only to be told that he moved out months ago heres the damage IMAG0266.jpg IMAG0265.jpg

So I went looking for this bloke on Facebook and found he new a few people I know including a guy who lets just say wouldnt work with the police

quick call to him to see if he could tell me where the guy who hit my car lives only he didn't but said he would see if he could find out and let me know

10 mins later the guy who hit me calls me and tells me hes sorry and will pay for the damage to be fixed at a friends garage and said mutual friend didnt need to come collect money lol I can only guess what was said end result I picked car up today all fixed

had to polish the whole car though because the back was so shiny

Police want me to go make a statement and testify in court I haven't made my mind up yet if I will

Seriously?!

The guy had no license! Next time he crashes because he thinks he's above the law someone could end up dead! That someone could be your wife/girlfriend/son/daughter!

took a week of me looking for this guy, police didn't have a clue where he was or how to get hold of him if I hadn't it would have gone through my insurance so would have lost my no claims and cost me £500 excess

your a kinda lucky mate,a friend of mine with a black 08 xp2 35.000miles hit by a uninsured polish driver pushed him into oncomming traffic................hit again,£200 fine he got,doesnt even live at the address he gave police....................car is a write-off

Where he will probably get a driving ban and a fine... Which he then won't pay and he obviously doesn't care if he is legal on the road or not!

If the justice system in this country wasn't a joke I would agree but people like him will just do it over and over and over again regardless!

I've watched too many roadwars episodes I think lol

I would testify as it's people like him who could kill someone. If he couldn't be bothered to get insurance he may not bother to ensure his car is road worthy either. Also as mentioned above we end up paying more for our insurance thanks to people like him.
