    Talking Productive day!!!!

    Had a very productive day today. Changed my timing belt, alternator belt and whilst it was in bits I also did the air box mod. Hopefully peace of mind for a long time to come! Surprised at how easy the timing belt was once things were removed to gain access. All in all I am well chuffed!

    Hope you changed water pump as well. Its these that fail and shred the belt.

    i would have recommended you did the water pump too. assuming its driven by one of the belts you have changed.

    the change in belt tension will probably shorten its life

    good work on the belts though mate, i need to do this myself soon my engines fast approaching 80k
