When was the filter last changed?
there is a drain in the bottom of the filter housing - maybe loose?
I am in Ashford Middlesex, PM me if you want it looked at - may be an ideal time to change the diesel filter at the same time.
A
The filter was only changed a few months ago.
Its been leaking for a while and put it down to the drain/bleed screw at the bottom of the canister but after nipping it up it was still leaking.yesterday i had another look and the sensor splug at the bottom has a small amount of play and its leaking out of there.
Its been leaking quite bad as the power steering fluid container is covered in it and its dripping onto the belly pan and onto the ground where i park.
It would also explain the amount of fuel ive been using and trouble with the car cutting out when its cold
I've had the same problem, I recommend getting it fixed sooner rather than later - I initially left my fuel filter thinking I'll get round to it later, I'm fairly certain the excess diesel helped to corrode my coolant pipe costing more than 3 times the cost of a new fuel filter!!!
Mines a 150 cdti too, getting fed up of it tbh, back in the garage today for a new alternator (£255)
got 1 today from scrappy for 20 and its in mint condition too.
£225 for alternator?? mine went about 2 weeks after buying my car(private sale) and i fitted it myself at a cost of £90 and exchange of old unit
i got mine from my local auto factors,i avoided the denso unit that came with the car as they are rubbish.
Yeah i got a 150 too
