    Default Shark Fin Ariel

    Hi,

So I have noticed my boot being damp and that my rear window doesn't always clear very well and someone on here mentioned it could be due to my ariel base. So I had a look today and sure enough it was perished quite bad.

I had a look in my Haynes manual and it basically says that removing the ariel is too difficult to put in the manual and should go to a dealer.

So I found this on ebay and bought it.

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=140870263899

Hopefully this will sort the problem and also look good.

Looks like you have a hatch this unit won't work as it doesn't have a washer jet

Good point, forgot about that, but I will just drill a small hole to allow it to shoot out.

The drilling idea is ok as long as it is tight against the washer jet or me thinks you will fill your shark fin case with water and your leak won't be cured.

Nothing good point. I could see if I could fashion a small shelf/tray that goes under the nozzle and hole which should help it drain out if need be.

Will be a real blue peter project lol.
