    Default Corsa... Aerial lead missing!

    Hi chaps,

Just sorting out a few niggles on a 1999 Corsa before it gets sold. (anyone want it by the way? It's in Essex)

Known for ages the aftermarket radio didn't work (no AM or FM reception) so assumed it was a loose connection to the aerial. Just took it out and found there's no evidence of an aerial lead at all!

Anyone know where on earth it might be and where it's likely to run? I've checked, there's very definitely a black sticky uppy thing on the roof!

I assume I'm looking for a standard coaxial cable, but no sign anywhere!

    Cheers!

I suspect there's a join somewhere in the coax you can plug a piece in.

But why bother fixing it for the expense just sell it as is it's not going to get you mega cash working.

If the Corsa is the same as a Vectra with a built in cage, it'll be a small round connector, not a shiny plug and you'll need an adapter to make it fit the stereo, they're only a couple of quid from everyones favourite place !

    Cheers for replies chaps,

Took the glovebox and fished around until i found something that looked like a co-ax cable. Followed it through the dash and found it jammed under the headunit cage.

    Oops!

Rather amusingly, when I was cleaning the engine bay up earlier I found something that had previously fallen off and was resting on top of the gearbox... The engine cover! Had the car for 6 months and always assumed it didn't have a cover at all! Amazed it was still there!
